Executive Director, Leslie Wright, LICSW
Leslie Wright has been with the CAC since November 1997. She is responsible for the general operation of the Center. She implements policies set forth by the Board of Directors. She assists the Board of Directors with fundraising, budget preparation, and long range planning. Leslie currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers, and has served as Chairperson for the Standards Committee. She maintains community relations on the behalf of the Center. Leslie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Leslie also conducts Forensic Interviews at the CAC.
Family Advocate/Case Manager, Pam Smith
Pam Smith has been employed at the CAC since September 2009. Pam is responsible for the coordination of case management. She schedules interviews, therapy appointments, and medical appointments. She is responsible for client intake and gathers statistical information for reports. Pam also serves as the Family Advocate for the Child Advocacy Center.
Forensic Interviewer/Therapist, Courtney Thompson, LICSW
Courtney Thompson has been employed by the CAC since May 2014. Courtney is the Lead Forensic Interviewer at the CAC. Courtney is also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She maintains written records as to the progress of clients and provides information vital for the investigation and prosecution. Courtney facilitates our multi-disciplinary team meetings.
Child Therapist, Claire Harbison, LICSW
Claire Harbison has been employed by the CAC since February 2016 and currently works part-time. Claire is responsible for providing therapy for child victims of abuse. She maintains written records as to the progress of clients and provides information vital for the investigation and prosecution. Claire is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Claire also conducts Forensic Interviews at the CAC.
Child Therapist, Amanda Butler, MA ALC NCC
Amanda has been employed by the CAC since September 2020. Amanda is responsible for providing therapy for child victims of abuse. She maintains written records as to the progress of clients and provides information vital for the investigation and prosecution. She is currently undergoing supervision for play therapy.
